Hockey Game
We attended the annual local Ice Hockey game held in Savannah. It is two days of Hockey between the two Colleges in Florida, University of Florida and Florida State and Georgia, University of Georgia (Georgia Bulldogs) and Georgia Tech (Yellow Jackets).
The game we attend is the Georgia / Georgia Tech. We had a lot of fun. About twenty family and friends go as a group. This year, one from the group got selected for the Shoot For Cash and got to go on the ice and won some money. Go Amy!
The Zamboni!!! And then a Bunch of us.
2nd Degree Red Belt
Patrick is currently a Red Belt. He tested this past weekend for his 2nd degree of the belt which prepares him for the next belt of Recommended Black Belt. This is the step down from Black Belt. He did a great job and is looking forward to the next level. Patrick's uniform is different than JoAnna's and other students because his is a member of the Demo (Demonstration) Team. They perform at events and openings to show off their skills.

JoAnna loves doing push ups!
Patrick and Hannah did little video messages to congratulate their mom on getting her Purple belt. Notice the amazing amount of enthusiasm of being on film! LOL

Special Edition
This is a Special Edition of the Thelemann Christmas!
For those who don't know, JoAnna's cousin Darcy is married to Chris. Chris is a Major in the US Marines and is currently stationed in Djibouti Africa. Chris and Darcy had planned a surprise Christmas trip to Disney World way back when and then Chris was deployed. Darcy's Mother Jeanne (JoAnna's Aunt) went with them in Chris' place. We are posting a slide show of the pictures they took so that he can see them.
We hope all is well in Africa and send our best!

A Must See Movie
Normally I don't promote movies or things like that but this one I felt strongly enough about to make mention of. No matter how you feel on any subject, it's always good to look at all the facts and get as much information as possible to make an informed decision. JoAnna and I got a chance to go and see this movie last night. It is a great documentary that I think is a real must see. You can go to the website to see the trailer.
www.forthebibletellsmeso.org
It is a very well done and an incredibly powerful movie. They list where it is showing and is supposed to appear on the Sundance Chanel. It has won several awards and is on the short list for an academy award.

Kids Choir
The kids sang again this Sunday at Church. they did a little intro at the begining of the service. I grabbed this clip off the website listed in our links.
I am working with the AV group to see if we can't get to the point where we can stream live on the net. It will take some work for sure.

All Done
Well Christmas is over now. All the decorations are down (what a process) Our ADD really came out this year during the tear down. We had about 4 or 5 things going at the same time. Patrick got to help this year. We had a lot of fun playing around.

Happy New Year 2008
Happy New Year 2008 !!!!!!!!!!!!
We hope everyone had a great Christmas and a great New Years! We stayed up (actually JoAnna made us all stay up) for the ball drop. We then crashed boy were we all tired.
A discussion was started one afternoon about what the years are called now. and in 2010 what will they be called the 10's? We had the 20's 30's 40's 50's up to the 90's and then year 2000. So now what? do we just start over? Maybe this is what they mean about repeating history. let me know what you think. Leave a comment and/or click the survey to the right.
The kids are staring out the new year busy. Patrick was in a commercial for his Taekwondo School and we missed the airing of it so we are trying to get a copy. He will be testing for his Black belt soon. He started Band right after Thanksgiving so it should be fun. He is going to play the Trombone.
Hannah is training Level 4 again this year which is normal at this point. We are at the breaking point of when she hits Level 5 and beyond it starts potentially having a positive effect for future scholarships for schools and so forth.
Eric will be starting school this spring. He has his placement test this weekend and has been admitted to Armstrong Atlantic State University as a non traditional student. The biggest benefit to AASU is that they tailor a lot for working students so it should be a great help.
JoAnna as well as doing what she does (manage the family) is starting back at Taekwondo after getting sick before Christmas. She will also start brushing up on her Spanish for an upcoming trip to Guatemala. More information to follow when we get it.
