Exciting Opportunity

We received a letter yesterday from Patrick's school. Basically it said that Patrick had the opportunity to participate in the Duke University Talent Identification Program. Patrick is eligible based on his test scores on the Stanford 10 test. We will keep everyone up to date.
We are all very excited and it is a huge boost to his confidence.

Birthday Part 3 WII want to Play

The final chapter of the Birthday series!

We topped it all off with a Wii party. We played Sonic Olympics, Golf and Dance Dance Revolution.

If anyone knows about Dance Dance Revolution or DDR for short, it is a pretty big rage. There are competitions and the higher the level of course the harder it is. If you search on the internet you can find kids that can do it at the highest level. Well we are not there yet. Below are a few of us trying to do a song and the fun that goes with it. It may be the slowest DDR dance you will ever see.

It is very addicting. We kept trying and trying just knowing that the next time we could ace it.

Here is that birthday girl taking a shot. You go girl! Looking good!

Birthday Part 2

Ok it is taking me a little longer to get all the posts back up but I will.

So we left Diva and we were on to Augusta to see the Augusta Symphony perform Beethoven's Ode to Joy with 150 voices.

It was a nice cool crisp evening and we all got to dress up for the event.

We had some tired people also. They hadn't quite caught their second wind.

All in all it was a great evening and great music and great food afterwards.

JoAnna's Birthday

Sorry this is late, Blogspot apparently didn't like how big the post ended up being so I will break it into several small posts and put them up in order of events.

We were headed to Augusta to meet JoAnna's Dad Jim and his wife Joyce and her sister Jody and her partner Beth. Since we were spending the night we had to drop Diva off at Nana's and Nanalizabeth's house on the farm to stay.

Patrick and Hannah while waiting scaled the magnolia tree in the front yard.

You can see that they have gotten pretty good and can get way up there.
